This place deserves zero stars! My father who never goes to the doctor went here and told them how awful he was feeling. They told him he was fine, he just had the bug that was going around and should go home and rest and he should be starting to feel better in about three days. Well if they would've at least listened to his lungs and did a minimal exam they would've noticed he had severe pneumonia!! He took their advice and sat home for a couple more days. Lucky enough a family member stopped over to ask him something and noticed how horrible he looked and I brought him to Strong West where he was diagnosed and rushed by ambulance to Strong for a 5 day stay with pneumonia! If he would've waited it out any longer like they told him the Strong doctors said he probably wouldn't be here any longer!
I went to the Urgent center with my son so that he could get x-rays done, and for both of us to get blood work done. I thought we lucked out because the waiting was nearly empty, with only two othe people waiting. After 50 minutes, I noticed that those other two people were not being called on, so they must have been accompanying someone. I had another appointment so I asked how much longer we needed to wait, and was told by the young blond haired girl that the person drawing blood was on a phone call. I sat back down and waited, only to see them call a Caucasian woman who had just checked in with her young daughter for blood work. I walked back up to the girl (whom I had taken a class with at the Albion campus of Genesee Community College, and who boasted that she had gotten a job at the urgent center because her Mom works there) and asked why after waiting for close to an hour to be called, another patient who had only walked in minutes before, had already been called to the back before us. She replied that we would probably be called next, I was annoyed and asked to speak to a supervisor. She went to the office off the side of the front desk, and spoke to someone who told her to tell me that she was unavailable to speak to me. I asked for her name and number, and was given a business card to call her. Unsurprisingly, her Mom happened to be the supervisor who refused to talk to me. Being new to the area, and one of the few people of color, I assumed that I we were not wanted there, so I left and have never gone back. Even though this site is much closer to me than the ACM lab in Albion, and URMC and Unity in Brockport, I just bypass them on my way to a much more professional provider, even though they’re further away. Even my local doctor’s office adviced me not to go there, as they’ve gotten lots of complaints about them.
